Fabric & Plastic Collection @Schenectady Green Market

We’re collecting fabrics, clothing and plastic bags in shades of blue, white and neutrals. It’s spring cleaning time so bring your textiles and plastics to the Art in Bloom Tent at the Schenectady GreenMarket. We’ll keep them out of our landfills and waterways by turning them into public art.

Please bring cleaned plastics and fabrics and please don’t purchase anything for this project, all materials should be used. Any plastics should be flexible and at least 12” long (think plastic bags like bread bags, drycleaning bags, packaing air bags)

For anyone who is familiar with fabrics, we are looking for volunteers to help cut the fabrics and plastics into 1” strips. Either bring your materials already cut into strips or get in touch at the email below to connect with our volunteer groups.
